The ASU has launched its strategy to embark on a 21st Century Agenda of achieving work life balance for our members. The ASU's strategy involves the ASU bargaining for a 'Life-Line of Entitlements' for ASU members which involves recognition of their family and community commitments across their working lives.
This Life-Line of Entitlements ensures that workers with small children, older children or dependent older parents can balance their caring responsibilities with their responsibilities within the workplace. It also recognises workers who may not have direct caring responsibilities but who contribute to the community.
