  • Maintain the Rage - National Young Workers Conference, Melbourne: The Young Unionists' Network is hosting the 2008 national young workers conference in Melbourne on 12 & 13 September 2008. We invite young workers, activists, students, organisers and those interested in issues for young people to join us this September for discussions, actions, workshops and celebrations under the theme 'Maintain the Rage'
  • Asia Pacific Youth Network - Photo and essay competition: AP-YN is organizing a photo and essay competition on Decent work for Youth. We want you to tell us the significance of "Decent work for Youth" to you in a story form. Deadline for submissions: 30 November 2008.
  • Rock Enrol: A joint initiative between Triple J and the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). Rock Enrol is about raising awareness about enrolling and voting, and encouraging young Australians to enrol to vote.
  • PSI Asia Pacific Youth Network -This website has been developed to provide information regarding young workers issues in the Asia and Pacific Region and also for online discussion.
  • "You're Gold if You're Fifteen Years Old" - This report commissioned by the NSW Teachers Federation found that young workers are far more likely to be scheduled for weekend and night shift work because they are a cheaper source of labor. The report also found that young workers were being asked to sign AWAs that removed penalty rates.
  • Young people at work: this is a resource website provided by the NSW Department of Industrial Relations. It includes info on: looking for work; what you need to know once you get a job; how to leave a job; career advisor resources; work smart jargon busters; money stuff; useful links
  • worker2worker: "worker2worker is an ACTU/union initiative which informs young people of their rights and responsibilities at work and provides advice on how to resolve workplace issues."
