Airlines: AAE (Australian Air Express)

ASU members endorse AaE EBAs

06 November 2009

By the ASU - the airlines industry union

At meetings across the country in the last few weeks ASU members have endorsed the National negotiating team's recommendation on the settlement of the ASU On Airport and Off Airport EBAs at Australian Air Express. This means that the Agreements will now go to formal vote to comply with the requirements of the workplace relations laws.

What's Next?

AaE will shortly circulate all the paperwork to employees about the proposed changes to both EBA's so you can consider how you vote.

Formal voting on the EBA will commence on Monday16th November 2009 at 12.01 am ESST and will finish at 12.01 am ESST on Thursday 19h November 2009.

Technically what we are voting on is a variation and extension of the existing EBA's so that is what the voting questions will say when voting commences.

For the first time, electronic voting will be in place run by an external company Elections Australia.  This is a secret ballot and no-one will know how you vote.

How do you vote?

Voting is by logging onto the internet at www.myvote.com.au/aae.

If you are covered by the On Airport EBA, click on the link to On Airport.  If you are covered by the Off Airport EBA, click onto the link to Off Airport.
Enter your surname, employee code and date of birth, then click on the "submit" button.

Vote YES or NO, plus click on the "submit" button.

Your details and vote are a secret and will not be disclosed.  You can only vote once!

If you experience problems voting, please contact Phil Lewis at Elections Australia - Ph: (02) 9416 9627.

ASU recommends "YES" vote

The ASU recommends a YES vote for this EBA, which is endorsed by members across the country.
