Call centre workers it’s your call - survey deadline looms

05 February 2009

By ASU - the call centre union

The deadline to complete the ASU's "It's your call" survey is 9am on February 27. The ASU wants to know how we can improve working in Australian call centres and we are asking all workers in the industry to tell us. You could also win a laptop or iPod by providing your feedback.

All call centre workers are being urged to complete the survey and have their say about the industry.

If you are a call centre worker anywhere in Australia, please *CLICK* here to do the survey.

And please forward this to your friends working in the industry.

It has been about ten years since the ASU undertook a national survey of the industry and this is an important opportunity to analyse what has happened since then. Results will help us plan future campaigns and work with our members across the sector.

"Australian call centre workers are some of the best in the world and this is evidenced by the fact that a number of international companies have put their call centres in Australia," ASU Assistant National Secretary Linda White said.

"We want to give call centre workers a greater voice and we want to make sure all workers enjoy the same, high level conditions and that they are valued and paid fairly."

You can complete the survey online at http://www.callcentreunion.com.au or request a copy is sent out to you or you can download and print your own copy.

By completing the survey you can enter the competition to win a 2.1Ghz MacBook (Apple laptop), an 8GB iPod Touch or an 8GB iPod Nano.

Entries must be completed by 9:00am ESST on Friday, February 27 2009.

Facebook for call centre workers

The ASU also maintains a Facebook "Cause" for call centre workers. We post links to ASU and industry news from all over the world here and allow members to share information.

If you are on Facebook and you are a call centre worker, please join our "Call Centre Workers - it's your call" Cause.
