The Smith Family (TSF) Social Enterprise Agreement has been re-negotiated and is now subject to a ballot of staff. TSF management’s offer is for a one year agreement. The ASU negotiating team has negotiated the best outcome possible under the circumstances to enable TSF staff the opportunity to vote on the proposal before Christmas, but it is time for you to decide.

The Smith Family bargaining update
ASU members would be aware that a survey of TSF staff was conducted in recent months to establish key issues for enterprise bargaining. From your feedback in the surveys, the ASU has put together a draft ‘log of claims’. We are asking that all union members at TSF participate in an online ballot to vote on the issues in the claim.

The Smith Family agreement re-negotiation
TSF staff would be aware that the TSF Social Enterprise Agreement 2007 will expire in mid June 2009. Over the next few weeks the Australian Services Union (ASU) delegates and members will be asking staff to assist with a survey in preparation for the next agreement. The survey will need to be sent back by no later than Friday 22 May, 2009.
