Water industry skills advisory committee seeks nominations

The ASU has been asked to nominate a number of water industry employees to represent the union movement and water workers on a national water industry skills advisory committee. The role of the committee will be to provide advice on issues facing the water industry and the industry's workers, including the skills demands of the industry.

Members interested in skills requirements and training in their industry would be ideal for the committee. You would need to be able to represent the views of the water industry workers and provide regular feedback to the ASU national water industry committee.

The committee is expected to meet around four times each year.

Interested members can come from water industry corporations, local government or the private sector that is providing service to the public sector. You will need to have a history of speaking up for your fellow workers. You will also need to be endorsed by your ASU Branch Secretary.
