Water Industry Training Package "First Draft" Qualification Framework ready for industry comment

Following recent extensive national industry consultation, the Water Training Package review project team are pleased to advise that the first draft of the Water Training Package Qualification Framework is now available for viewing and industry feedback.

The development team in preparing this draft document, have adhered to the following principles as mandated by the Project Steering Committee.

The Water Training Package Qualifications need to:

• provide flexible packages of Units of Competency at each AQF level.
• be relevant, in terms of both level and scope
• meet the realistic needs of the industry and facilitate real career pathways.
• reflect real work requirements and meet the different work organisation practices in both metropolitan and non metropolitan water enterprises.
• Please note, the 'second draft' of the units of competency will be available for viewing and comment on the above website by 9th August.
