Around Australia this Easter weekend, millions will be taking a break and many will spend time with family and friends. Whether Easter itself means something religious or philosophical to you or not, everyone understands the importance of rest and spending time with loved ones. However, a very large number of Australians, including many ASU members, won't be able to enjoy the Easter long weekend in this way - they'll be at work, keeping the country running, keeping it flying, providing services, responding to emergencies which never take a holiday, etc. They deserve fair compensation for their work while the rest of us are on holiday so remember to thank them!
