Profit bonus held to ransom for AaE employees

asu airlines bulletin button 1200pxwYou cannot be serious Qantas....

After announcing another bumper profit result yesterday, Qantas management says your bonus won’t be paid until a new EBA is approved by the FWC. You worked hard to make this profit for the company, and they’re holding your reward to ransom.

Qantas management are also saying that you only get the bonus if you do not take any industrial action to get that your new EBA!

So if you thought you would be getting a $2000 bonus for full timers and a $1500 for part timers – it ain’t happening now.

But wait there is more...

This stupid decision affects all union EBA covered staff across Qantas. Workers at Qantas Freight won’t be paid the bonus for years. They will have to wait for their agreement to expire in 2020. QCatering workers, who are being sold to dnata, will never see the bonus. This decision also affects workers in other unions.

High paid executives have no conditions on their bonuses – they get them in September.

What to do?

As a result, the ACTU has called an urgent meeting of unions on Monday 27th August to decide on a plan.

We cannot accept this bonus proposal. We need to organise to get the company to change its mind. Watch out for more details on meetings about our plan of action after Monday’s meeting.

Qantas management is threatening your income and your new EBA. We need to show Qantas that AaE workers will not stand for this kind of bullying.

IT’S TIME TO STAND UP - FIGHT BACK!
