Time to get your views at Spark & Cannon – our bargaining survey begins

05 November 2014 By ASU

The Spark and Cannon EBA will expire on 21 April 2015 and bargaining will soon commence for a new agreement. The ASU is seeking to renegotiate your Agreement, update the terms and conditions and ensure wages at least keep pace with cost of living increases.

UPDATE: Survey extended to 28 November 2014

We seek your input on the issues that are important to you. Follow the survey links in this notice and results from your surveys will form the basis of an ASU log of claims that will be presented to management before EBA negotiations start.

It is very important that you tell us what you think. Please take the time to fill out this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CSSurvey2015

The last agreement negotiation between management and the ASU reps achieved:

  • a replacement of all the old State based agreements and consistency in pay and conditions across the whole company nationally;
  • preservation of all existing EA/Award conditions and promoting stability for management and staff;
  • CPI wage increases each July and transition to highest rates (Mel);
  • Casual loading increase from 20% to 24% as per Clerks – Private Sector Award transition time table;
  • Joint Consultative Committee – to assist in management/employee reps jointly determining productivity rates/ competency standards and address any general EA implementation issues;
  • Union Recognition;
  • Training and Career development;
  • Annual Performance review;
  • Dispute Resolution Procedure with Fair Work Australia as final independent arbiter if necessary.

We need to look at what is important and what you want:
