Bargaining set to begin at Maurice Blackburn ...eventually

21 October 2015 By ASU

We finally seem to have a schedule of meetings with the company to start bargaining after the company walked out of negotiations before they began on 7th October 2015.

150806-maurice-blackburn-bulletin-buttonThe company appears to have also conceded it's not up to them to choose the ASU negotiating team.

We provided the company with 17 possible dates to meet between now and 9th December and it looks like we have been able to lock down the following so far – 9 November 2015, 24th November and 7th December 2015.

We are pretty disappointed that the meetings will not be sooner and at the moment the company is only scheduling 2 hour sessions. We really want to expedite the bargaining process but we are meeting resistance from the company.

Your negotiating team also think it is important at least for some of the meetings for us all to be meeting face to face not by video conference.

Again as we reported previously the company does not want to fly delegates in to meetings.

We have again asked for interstate delegates to be flown to Melbourne for our first meeting where we intend to go through our log of claims in detail.

We await the company response.

If you need more information contact your local ASU organiser or delegate(download the full bulletin below).
