As mentioned in previous newsletters, formal negotiations for a new EBA commence on September the 3rd. In the lead up to this date the ASU needs to develop a log of Claims to serve on the employer. A Log is simply a list of union demands to improve employee pay and working conditions.
To this end the ASU conducts an online survey of members and potential members to see what issues are important to you.
The results of this Survey then assist the ASU to devise the Log of Claims.
The link below will take you to the employee Survey. You will be asked about your current working conditions and how these can be improved.
The Survey is fairly straightforward and it will take you about 10 minutes to complete.
We encourage as many people as possible to complete the Survey as this assists us to help you in this EBA process.
The Survey needs to be completed by the 28th of August 2020.
Also watch for ASU Union officials who will be visiting your workplace over the next few weeks to talk to you about the Survey and the EBA process in general.
