Enterprise agreement bargaining expected to commence in 2016

On Tuesday 15 December 2015, the Department of Finance issued a notification of employee representation rights to commence negotiating the next enterprise agreement.
Have you appointed someone to be your bargaining representative?
If you have not appointed a representative and you are not a member of the ASU, CPSU or MEAA then you are not represented in bargaining.
However, if you have notified Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (M&PS) in writing about your representative (you can nominate yourself) they will be your legal bargaining representative.
The ASU has received two nominations for the ASU bargaining team. Lori Faraone – Andrew Giles, MP (Member for Scullin, Victoria) and Jessica Malcolm – Sharon Bird, MP (Member for Cunningham, New South Wales).
Both nominees have been put forward as ASU delegates to sit at the bargaining table on behalf of ASU members.
The Bargaining Policy
The Australian Government Public Sector Workplace Bargaining Policy will apply to the negotiations with the Department of Finance. Some changes were released in October 2015 but cuts to rights and conditions are still policy.
