Max Solutions EBA bargaining to begin soon

30 January 2020 By ASU

The Australian Services Union (ASU) has been in contact with Max Solutions management to commence negotiations for a new EBA at Max Solutions.

The current agreements that apply to the Max Solutions employees across Australia are the: Max Solutions Employment and Training Enterprise Agreement and the Max Solutions Health Enterprise Agreement. The parties have agreed to have the first EBA meeting in March.

What is the first step?

Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR)

The Fair Work Act 2009 requires Max Solutions to provide all employees who are to be covered by the proposed agreement with a notice outlining your rights. The company will send this notice to employees very soon.

Negotiators of EBA’s are called “bargaining representatives”.

Members of the ASU do not have to do anything about the appointment of a bargaining representative-the ASU is automatically your bargaining representative and the ASU negotiating team made up ASU delegates and union officials will conduct the negotiations for ASU members.

You do not need to do anything, the NERR is a legal procedural notice advising people of their rights.

If you are not an ASU member, now is the time to join, so you can be represented by the ASU team.

You can join online now at https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin

Initial EBA Meeting

The first EBA meeting between the ASU delegates and Officials with Max Solutions management will occur in March. An actual date is yet to be set. The negotiations will physically take place in Brisbane.
